Tips on Submissions

We’re looking to support projects that redefine what’s possible in UEFN and broaden the types of experiences available to Fortnite players. If you’re pioneering new game genres, developing unique mechanics, or exploring bold new ideas to enhance existing islands, this is your opportunity!

A polished concept, clear vision, and a strong pitch go a long way. Here are some tips to help you stand out:

Include a Compelling Video

Use a video to showcase your concept and demonstrate key gameplay or core mechanics. A proof of concept or early demo works wonders in helping reviewers see your vision. Keep it short and sweet, prioritizing the key information about your island.

Be Specific about Your Budget

A detailed breakdown of how funds will be used adds credibility. The clearer you are about how the grant supports your development milestones, the better.

Include a High-Level Timeline or Roadmap

Showing how your project will progress over time helps the reviewers understand how you will take the project from one milestone to the next.

Polish Your Pitch

Clearly explain your island idea in a short video: what makes it unique, and how it enhances or fits within the Fortnite ecosystem. Aim to deliver a compelling summary in 90 seconds or less.

Ask for Feedback

Have a friend or teammate review before submitting. A second set of eyes can catch missing details or unclear sections that could affect your chances.

Remember to submit your project before September 22 — we can’t wait to see what you’re working on! For more details, check out the Epic MegaGrants page.
