Get a Personalized View of Your Fortnite Island's Discover Performance
The Fortnite Team
We’re always looking for ways to help you better understand and optimize your island’s performance. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Discover Performance Snapshot in the Creator Portal!
This report will provide insights into your islands' performance metrics such as impressions, clicks, click-through rate (CTR), average session length, and the percentage of sessions lasting over 10 minutes — all of which influence your island’s success in Discover.
Use these insights to make data-driven adjustments and improve your island’s attraction and engagement. Your attraction metrics (impressions and clicks) are only gathered from the Discover rows where your island has appeared, while engagement metrics relate to time spent in the island.
Whenever your island surpasses 5,000 daily impressions in Discover, the Discover Performance Snapshot will be available in your Publishing tab. We begin the report at 5,000 impressions to maintain statistical relevance, but you will always have access to your full Audience Metrics in your project analytics tab. A snapshot of your island’s performance will be generated the day after it surpasses 5,000 impressions in a single UTC day. This snapshot report captures the total impressions for that full UTC day. In the future, we plan to introduce real-time views of select data for even more immediate insights.
Want to improve your click-through rate (CTR)? Try refreshing your island thumbnail. Noticing a drop in session metrics? It might be time to brainstorm new gameplay mechanics to keep players engaged. The Discover Performance Snapshot puts you in the driver’s seat with data you can use to make informed decisions.
And we’re just getting started! In the coming months, we’ll add qualitative metrics and new functionality, including a CSV download option, satisfaction data, and ecosystem benchmarks such as how your island is performing compared to top islands. These enhancements will help you identify areas for improvement and further optimize your island’s performance.
Also, the Creator Profile Link device enables players to favorite a creator while playing Creative and UEFN islands, when the device is placed in the island. This is an alternative to players needing to return to the front-end to add a favorite. Plus, your favorite count is now displayed on your Creator Page in Fortnite and on fortnite.com!
And today, we’ve added upcoming features to the roadmap for this year, including A/B testing for island thumbnails, scheduled publishing, as well as retention metrics for one day and seven days. We’ll continue sharing updates, so keep an eye on the roadmap to see how we’re enhancing and adding tools that support you!
